Practice

Working with individuals, couples and families.  Treatment of depression, anxiety-based disorders, O.C.D., P.T.S.D., A.D.H.D. in adolescents and other behavior problems, family counseling, couple’s counseling, addictions, anger management, and self-esteem.  Also working with adjustment disorders, bi-polar disorder, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, adolescent behavior problems, and self-destructive behaviors. 
Using a number of treatment modalities from a cognitive, educational  and humanistic approach. Including teaching new coping skills, relaxation and breath work, family of origin work, and more.
Practice limited to age 13 years old and above.

Experience

2.5 years in private practice.  3.5 years working with clients in community clinics for mental health and substance abuse.
4.5 year history working in psychiatric hospitals as psychiatric social worker and therapist. 
3 year history working in the foster care system with foster children, birth parents and foster parents.  Family and ind. Treatment.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Strategic and Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Psycho-educational Medical Model, Experiential (Gestalt, Satir) Therapies with a humanistic approach.
